Team War Ready enters the field on Sunday

What if there was an All-Star team made up of former Auburn men’s basketball players who competed against other All-Star teams from other schools for a chance to win a million dollars?

Well, that concept becomes a reality on Sunday, when eight former Tigers along with several alumni from other programs will compete as “Team War Ready” in the summer tournament dubbed The Basketball Tournament.

The tournament, more commonly referred to as ‘TBT’, has been active since 2018, but War Ready joined the tournament in 2021, falling in both matches played. However, the team returned to the tournament with a stronger roster and should have a competitive run in this season’s tournament.

The first for War Ready is a match with “Woco Showtime”, a team made up mostly of former Wofford College players on Sunday in Charleston, West Virginia. If Auburn were to win Sunday’s game, they would face the winner of the Bucketneers against Fully Loaded on Tuesday.

The first game of War Ready’s TBT can be seen on ESPN3 at 1 p.m. CDT. Below is the list of former Auburn players competing for War Ready in this season’s tournament:
