LeBron James reveals 1 current NBA player he most wants to play with

During his NBA career, LeBron James has played with the good guys (eg, peak Dwyane Wade and young Kyrie Irving), the bad guys (eg, Shaq washed and Mike Bibby, washed after being washed) and the ugly. (eg Russell Westbrook and Russell Westbrook for the second time). But there is one current player that James hasn’t teamed up with yet and would really like to.

In the latest episode of HBO’s “The Shop,” Los Angeles Lakers forward James revealed the active player he would most like to team up with – Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry.

“In today’s game, shit, there’s some motherfuckers in today’s game, but Steph Curry,” James said. “Steph Curry is the one I want to play with for sure, [in] today’s match… Mortal. Steph, when he gets out of his car, you better protect him as soon as he gets to the arena.

James also said his son Bronny is the one he most wants to play with, and retired Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen is the all-time player he’d most like to team up with (although James acknowledged that “obviously MJ [Michael Jordan] was crazy cold” and also mentioned Kobe Bryant and Penny Hardaway).

Curry is a very interesting choice for James, as he is considered one of James’ biggest career rivals. The two met four times in the final, with Curry emerging victorious on three of those occasions. But Curry’s off-dribble sleight of hand beyond the three-point line would indeed complement James’ runaway downhill locomotive play and his age-improving return-to-the-basket game very well.

The two former MVPs have played on All-Star teams together before, and James even reportedly tried to sign Curry not too long ago. We now know for sure that Curry is the current player James wants to play with first and foremost.
