Who is the GOAT among Michael Jordan and LeBron James is a topic of endless discussion, Alex Caruso joined this discussion some time ago
James lebron is the epitome of success. Man has won everything and everything to gain on a basketball court. Some consider him the best to ever do that. Most call Michael jordan the best.
Comparisons are usually subjective, and the arguments supporting those comparisons only make sense to the person making them. Nonetheless, the comparisons are what keeps fans engaged and athletes motivated. As they strive to be the best, we support them, we fight – for them, against them and sometimes even with them.
But what can be a deciding factor in concluding the debates as which is the greatest of all time is when a fan of an athlete becomes a professional in the same game. And then has the opportunity to see how their fellow athlete actually compares to those who are in conversation to be the best of all time.

This gives one of the best perspectives of who really is the greatest. But unfortunately, in the case of NBA players as well, they don’t have a clear favorite for the best of all time, the majority give Michael Jordan an edge over LeBron James. But not everyone.
Alex Caruso thinks LeBron James is the GOAT on Michael Jordan
Former LeBron James Lakers teammate, Alex Caruso who helped King win his fourth NBA title grew up as a fan of Michael Jordan. But even before entering the league, his perspective changed.
Last year, he spoke about it on former NBA player JJ Redick’s podcast. In this clip from The Old Man and The Three, AC shares how he went from MJ to LeBron as his favorite for GOAT.
“When I grew up I had this fascination with highlights and I was a huge fan of Michael Jordan… I never saw full games or saw him play in person, everything. that you get, it’s those highlights, you’ve got game winners, you just got them locked up people, you soak them up. In my head i think he does it all and it’s like the best guy to ever do that. Caruso said.
“And then LeBron comes in like 2003 and we start watching him, then I get older and start to understand basketball better… I don’t know when that changed but it was around the year six-seven-eight. for LeBron, when I was like this guy must be the best basketball player to ever play, there’s no one who can do what he does and he has been doing it for another 10 years. concludes the guard.
He went on to describe how playing three seasons with the King, Caruso didn’t just feel like the greatest basketball player of all time. He also felt like the four-time MVP already had coaching experience with a ten-year career behind him.
While that argument may never work out, winning another title won’t hurt LeBron’s chances of being considered an undisputed GOAT. But as far as the Lakers have played this season, getting out of the Western Conference would be the most important task for the King and Co.

And if they make it to the finals, there’s a chance that LA fan favorite GOAT, “CaruShow” will be waiting there with his new team to snatch LeBron’s 5th title.
It would be an ironic ending if Caruso did this to his favorite player in a Chicago Bulls jersey.
