Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo among Tuesday’s value plays (March 8)

Tonight’s NBA schedule includes some big matchups where I expect the stars to shine. There are a few gamer props that caught my eye and we’ll be looking to cash in.

We’ll be using the Action Labs Player Prop tool to compare our NBA projections to published props on a variety of sportsbooks. Below I’ve outlined three prop bets I play, the case for each bet, and the best books for finding odds on these player props.

NBA Players’ Accessories and Picks

Kevin Durant, over 29.5 points (-110)

Nets against hornets Nets -3

Kevin Durant has scored 30 or more points in the two games he’s played since returning from injury. Tonight the Brooklyn Nets travel to Charlotte to face the Hornets and I think this will be a game Durant can enjoy again. The Hornets don’t have the size or the defensive player to contain Durant’s ability to score from anywhere on the floor.

Earlier this season against the Hornets, Durant scored 38 points on 17 of 24 shooting from the field. Although the Hornets have a top-10 defensive rating the past five games, they haven’t faced a player with Durant’s scoring ability.

Also, with the Nets on a four-game losing streak and slipping in the Eastern Conference standings, I expect to see a desperate Nets team tonight, led by Durant. I’m going to mount the hot hand here and bet Durant to score at least 30 tonight.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, more than 12.5 rebounds (-105)

Bucks vs. Thunder Dollars -13.5
Time | TV 8 p.m. ET | League pass
best book DraftKings

The Thunder have struggled on the defensive end of basketball without their top two defensemen, Lu Dort and Josh Giddey, who are sidelined by injury. Both players will be out again tonight against the Bucks.

Over the past five games, the Thunder have ranked 25th in rebounding opposition, according to NBA Advanced State. Additionally, according to Hashtag Basketball, over the past seven days, the Thunder have allowed center position to grab 20.2 rebounds per game. Giannis Antetokounmpo has grabbed 13 or more rebounds in five straight games for the Bucks.

Additionally, in a previous game this season against the Thunder, Giannis grabbed 19 rebounds in 36 minutes of playing time. another big rebound night. I’ll take the over 12.5 rebounds.

Brandon Ingram, over 5.5 assists (-130)

Pelicans vs. Grizzlies Grizzlies -5.5
Time | TV 7:30 p.m. ET | DTT
best book PointsBet

Since the CJ McCollum trade, the Pelicans look like a completely different team. The addition of another veteran and goaltender alongside Brandon Ingram has paid off. The Pelicans have been playing .500 basketball since acquiring McCollum, but the biggest surprise has been the rise in assists per game for Ingram.

The connection and chemistry between Ingram and McCollum seems to have picked up quickly. In fact, Ingram has dished out six or more assists in six straight games for the Pelicans. The Pelicans will visit the Grizzlies tonight, who, according to advanced NBA stats, rank 2nd in opponents’ assists per game over the past five games.

I expect the success to continue tonight. Ingram should have plenty of distribution opportunities, especially in a game that currently sits at 232 points.
