Former NBA player shares Ben Simmons’ solid withdrawal

No matter who you talk to, everyone has an opinion on Ben Simmons of the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets player got the roast of a lifetime online after it was announced he would miss pivotal Game 4 of the first round of the playoffs due to back pain.

It came after days of reports that Simmons would like to come back after a year’s absence.

As expected, the plugs arrived hot and fast.

Former NBA player and current analyst Kendrick Perkins had a few words about Simmons’ situation.

“Ben Simmons has officially completed the biggest heist in NBA history. He really missed an entire season! Keep it up…” Perkins tweeted.

Is this really a huge heist or does Simmons have a legit story?

Does it matter at this point or will he forever be known as someone who is afraid to play?

Nets fans were expecting Simmons to play in Game 4 – and they were really looking forward to his help.

The team is currently down 3-0 to the Boston Celtics and is set to be swept in the first round of the playoffs.

He hasn’t played for a year, but it was time for him to prove that trading for him was smart.

Although he had plenty of problems creating runs, he had far fewer problems stopping them: his defensive power is a huge reason the Nets traded for him.

Since being sent from the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn fans have been waiting and waiting to see what Simmons could bring to the team.

Still, they will have to keep waiting as it now seems incredibly unlikely that he will play a single minute of basketball this year.

He says his back pain has returned, but many people think he’s just too scared to get back in shape.

Whatever the reason, this missed season will forever be a low point in Simmons’ career.
