Former Georgia Tech Basketball Player Iman Shumpert Wins ‘Dancing With The Stars’ – WSB-TV Channel 2

Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach are officially the winners of “Dancing with the Stars”.

The duo were announced as the most recent Mirror Ball Trophy champion in Monday’s Season 30 finale, beating fellow celebs JoJo Siwa, Cody Rigsby and Amanda Kloots, who were paired with pro partners Jenna Johnson, Cheryl, respectively. Burke and Alan Bersten.

Shumpert’s victory is historic, as he is now the first NBA player to make the “DWTS” Finals and ultimately win it all. Karagach is also a first-time winner, having joined the series last season.

Karagach praised Shumpert’s tremendous improvement over the season, noting that he was one of the few competitors to “never have danced a day in [his] life “and but worked hard to defy all expectations in reaching the final.

Shumpert said being the underdog this season fueled his desire to come out on top, which saw him perform unheard of stunts on the ballroom floor with flawless execution.

Along with a sparkling new trophy, Shumpert finished his “DWTS” run with two perfect scores: one for a foxtrot / cha-cha merger, which saw Judge Bruno Tonioli declare him the “King of the Ballroom,” and a for a Chicago-themed freestyle that was considered one of the best in show history.
