The Bulls and Heat start at the same time in Florida, with Miami favored by four. The plummeting Charlotte Hornets are huge underdogs as they take on defending champion Milwaukee Bucks, and the same goes for the San Antonio Spurs against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Odds as of February 28 on FanDuel Sportsbook

Unsurprisingly, DeMar DeRozan has one of the highest scoring lines of the night at 30.5. DeRozan may be an underdog in NBA MVP ratings, but he’s been posting historic numbers recently.

Jarrett Allen scores and rebounds

Darius Garland is out again for the Cavaliers. Garland is the center of the Cleveland offense, and his absence leaves a void to be filled. Lauri Markkanen won against the Wizards, and the frontcourt duo of Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley need to contribute even more on the offensive side.

Even without his pick-and-roll partner in Garland, Allen was effective against Washington, scoring 18 points on just eight shots. He connected with Brandon Goodwin, Isaac Okoro and Cedi Osman, and grabbed 14 boards in the game.

This contest was the only time in the last five that Allen exceeded that points and rebounds line. Prior to this run, however, he managed four consecutive games. This streak was again a time when Garland was sidelined through injury – Allen and Garland have great chemistry, but we often see the former Net’s numbers go up when Garland is out. absent.

Allen faces a Minnesota team that ranks in the bottom ten in share of opposing shots on the rim. They also sit in the bottom seven of the opposition tables per game. It’s a night for Allen to post huge numbers.

  • Pick: Jarrett Allen over 27.5 points and rebounds (-113)

Hornets can’t stop Giannis

Giannis Antetokounmpo has scored over 40 goals against the Hornets this season. He’s also averaging more than 32 per game over his last nine, scoring 32 or more in three of his last five, including a 44-point outing against Indiana and a 50 play against the Lakers.

Despite the highest scoring line of the night, that number looks low. The Hornets are a poor defensive team despite improving their offensive rating lately, and they don’t even have anyone close enough to slow down the two-time MVP.

Teams get to the rim at will against the Hornets – only five teams give up more attempts in the restricted area. Fouls have also been an issue against Giannis, as he’s had 41 strip attempts in three games against Charlotte so far in 2021-22.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Greek Freak drop 40 points again – gain the upper hand.

  • Choice: Giannis Antetokounmpo more than 31.5 points (-106)
