Singapore-based global edtech company LingoAce has named former NBA player Jeremy Lin (pictured) as its first-ever global brand ambassador. Lin will work with LingoAce to promote language learning and cross-cultural understanding through education technology.

By working with LingoAce, the company said Lin recognizes the value of applying technology to create immersive learning experiences and wants to help more children learn languages in this way.
LingoAce CEO and Founder Hugh Yao said Lin’s personal story, his passion for education and bridging cultures, and his impact on society, make him the most trusted brand ambassador. ideal for LingoAce. “We are proud to partner with Lin who has broken down entrenched stereotypes through hard work, compassion, and quite a bit of courage. We hope our students around the world will learn from his example and aspire to dream like Lin” , he added.
Meanwhile, Lin explained that growing up and playing basketball in California, he personally knew many children who had to go through inequities in access to education. “Whatever a child’s situation, I believe education is always valuable and the cornerstone of opportunity for individuals. I have always believed that talent is universal, but opportunities are not. That’s why I started my foundation and got involved in impact investing to support mission-driven businesses,” he explained. INTERACTIVE-MARKETING has contacted LingoAce for more information.
Lin, who is currently a player in the Chinese Basketball Association, burst onto the scene 10 years ago while still playing with the New York Knicks. Unexpectedly, he led a winning turnaround with the Knicks, creating a cultural phenomenon known as Linsanity.
