Against Division One at the University of Buffalo, the Cardinals were belted as expected, but a piece of Williams’ game was applauded on social media.
After circling the ball, Williams fell as he reached the three-point arc, but quickly rose to his feet – wincing in pain with an apparent ankle coiled up.
Out of nowhere, he then made a smart pass to a driving teammate who scored and took the foul.
While Williams’ massive size helped him gain attention, especially by a frowned upon American outlet with a reputation for bullying and horrific treatment of women, his friends and teammates were quick to come. to emphasize that he was also very talented.
Williams was Monroe County D1 Player of the Year last season and an All-Greater Rochester selection in 2020 and 2021.
He had two assists and no turnovers in his four minutes against Buffalo.
Williams is averaging 3.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in his freshman year in college, playing 6.8 minutes per game.
