CAIRO, October 10, 2021: Spain’s Al-Ahly basketball team coach Auguste Bosch has expressed great happiness after beating Kuwaiti club Al-Kuwait with a score of 78 / 66 in the match that brought the two teams together in the final of the Arab Championship hosted by Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, to crown the Reds with the title for the first time in their history.
Auguste said, in statements to the Ontime Sport 3 channel: Our system is based on daily training to improve our level, and the players trust each other and that is the secret to winning championships.
He added: I gave this title to the fans of Al-Ahly for the first time, and it is a pleasure to work at Al-Ahly, and I gave this title to the fans, especially since ‘they were thirsty for that title.
He continued, “I have expressed to Michael Thompson my desire to continue with Al-Ahly during the competitions this season, because he is a great player and he has performed well in the league.”
Al-Ahly won the Arab Championship title for the first time in its history, to be the team’s second title this season, as he was crowned the Cairo Regional Championship last month.

Al-Ahly’s last basketball team’s final in the Arab Basketball Championship was in 2000 against his Al-Jazeera counterpart, and the Reds lost, to reach the tournament final after a 21-year-old absence, and crowned the title for the first time in its history.
Al-Ahly reached the final of the Arab Basketball Championship three times, in 1991, 1999 and 2000.
